Remember when I posted about the little girl going for a heart cath in Shanghai? If you want to refresh your memory about her, click here to read my original post about her. I have an update!
"Naomi" (the western name we chose for her) had her procedure on July 22. The doctors in China diagnosed her with complex heart defects (which is what was expected) and recommended surgery to repair these issues. Naomi traveled back to her orphanage on July 27, and now Love Without Boundaries is raising money for her surgery. Here is the great news: YOU can help her! No donation is too small. To see Naomi's fundraising page, click here. Doesn't the picture of her just make you smile? She looks like she lights up a room, just as the doctor at UAB described her to me. Please feel free to share the link to her fundraising page on your blog or facebook page.
In addition to her surgery, Naomi is also waiting for a forever family! As it explains on her fundraising page, the hope is that getting this surgery will encourage more families to consider adopting her. She has been waiting for a long time, and her file is with our agency. If you are interested in learning more about her and the possibility of adoption, I know exactly who to put you in touch with -- and I would LOVE to do so!
